Full

May anyone who’s ever felt it feel it fuller –

may it permeate their being and reach the ends of their limbs

intoxicating in its fullness. May anyone who’s ever felt it feel it fuller –

and those who’ve not felt it may it descend upon them

may it pull them into its ascent.

May anyone who’s feeling it too fully feel it just enough,

just enough to lift them up hovering off their toe tips and yet

not so high that they crash down when it subsides.

May anyone who’s feeling it let it fill them, fill them fully

and may they hold open their palms, letting it

radiate from their skin, letting it

fully fill the space that surrounds them, letting it

infuse their existence

may anyone who feels it just in between fully and not fully enough

Balance.

May they hold space with it, with how it feels to balance, not teeter

but balance. Stable, feeling fully their equilibrium, feeling fully

how it feels.

May we be friends and not enemies with feeling fully

may it become familiar, may its fullness split us open, ripe

to possibilities of fully feeling.

  1. What I think is especially beautiful here is the acknowledgment of the delicacy of fullness. Reading it makes me full sweetly, not gloatingly, fully aware of the tenuousness of everything. But this doesn’t cancel the greatness of attaining fullness.

What a great state to attain! You brought it to life, Sara!
